How to Use the EZBowler The EZBowler works in several ways:
The EZBowler allows you to practice daily in your own home. While this cannot replace practice at your local bowling alley, daily repetition, even as little as five minutes a day, will improve “muscle memory”. This will help you gain greater control of your speed and improve your aim. We suggest you practice your form in slow motion to begin with, watching your technique. If you have a mirror, a video camera, or a friend to help you with this, great! This will make it easier to see what you are doing. Using the EZBowler as a visual aid, you can make sure you are throwing the ball correctly and commit that technique to muscle memory. The EZBowler is simple to use. Insert your middle and ring finger into the appropriate holes. The ball should lie flat on your palm and your wrist should be slightly cupped. The EZBowler does not come with a thumb hole. For most people, this takes some getting use to but allows the bowler to correctly position the EZBowler on their hand. If you find that you still need a thumbhole, one may be added by taking it to your local Pro Shop to be drilled. While practicing your shot, pay attention to the yellow lines on the ball. They should stay horizontal until the ball reaches your ankle, at which point the ball should start turning. Right-handed people should turn the ball counterclockwise. Left-handed people should turn the ball clockwise.
By watching the lines on the ball, you can make sure your hand is in the correct position for each type of shot. When correct, these different shots will make the EZBowler spin differently.
By watching the lines on the ball and the reaction of the ball once released, you can perfect your different techniques. In the beginning, practice your shots in slow motion, watching your technique. As you perfect your technique, increase your speed. For more in-depth bowling instruction, please visit our Practice Alley. Please note that the EZBowler is not intended to help with timing, and we suggest the one-step approach while using it. As is usual when changing techniques, if you are a higher-average bowler, you may see your average dip some when you begin to use the EZBowler. This is normal. With daily practice and patience, you should be able to raise your average and be more consistent with your shots.
